Verizon Samsung Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot SCH-LC11 Drops Connection Randomly Disconnects and Reconnects

Verizon Samsung 4G LTE randomly disconnects and reconnects. Changing the device security configuration from utilizing WPA (TKIP) to WPA2 (AES) seems to resolve this issue.
To correct this issue, connect to the hotspot's configuration menu from a computer connected to it.
  1. Open a browser and go to 192.168.1.1
  2. The hotspot login screen will appear. Enter the password for the device (password is typically on a label on the bottom of the device)
  3. On the top of the page, click the NETWORK tab
  4. Click the WIFI button (below LAN WIFI banner)
  5. Click on the MANUAL CONFIGURATION button
  6. Under the SECURITY heading, copy the password
  7. Change the security setting in the dropdown menu from WPA/Personal/PSK (TKIP) to WPA2/Personal/PSK (AES)
  8. Re-enter the password copied from step 6 (or from the label on the bottom of the device)
  9. Click the APPLY button
  10. A warning will appear regarding deleting old wireless profiles from connected devices
Additional note: While in this configuration menu, you may also want to change the wireless speed settings from B and G to B,G, and N to allow higher connection speeds with more up to date wireless devices.
