Error When Launching Webex from Email Link

When clicking a Webex meeting hyperlink in a meeting invite in Outlook, you receive an error message like:
General failure. The URL was: "http://www.webex.com/8765309..." The system cannot find the file specified.

This is a result of either not having a default browser set, or Mozilla Firefox is set as the default browser.

Resolution:


  • Start
  • Control Panel
  • Internet Options
  • Programs
  • Click the Make Default button under Default web browser
