Forwarding User's Voicemail to Email with Cisco Unity Connection
Setup the Cisco Unity Connection to the Domain's Email Server (if not already completed)
- Log in to Cisco Unity Connection Administration Site with administrator level credentials
- Under the left Cisco Unity Connection menu, expand System Settings
- SMTP Configuration
- Click Smart Host
- Enter the IP address of the mail server
- Click Save
Configure User's Voicemail to Relay to Their Email Address
- Under the left Cisco Unity Connection menu, click Users
- Navigate to the desired user in the list and click on their name
- At the top menu, click Edit and choose “Message Actions”
- In the first action, for Voicemail, change the drop down box to “Accept and Relay the Message” (this option keeps normal voicemail notification/access on the IP phone and sends the user an email message with an attached WAV file of the recorded voicemail message)
- In the Relay Address field, enter the user’s email address
- Click Save
