After upgrading Configuration Manager environment, distribution servers do not reflect the proper version (distribution servers show older version than management point).
Uninstall the Distribution Point role in Config Manager Console
Administration - Site Configuration - Servers and Site System Roles
right click the distribution point
click Remove Role
Select the distribution point role
Monitor distmgr.log to ensure completion.

Review IIS on the distribution point to ensure completion.
Site – Default Web Site
Verify that SMS_DP_SMSPKG$ and SMS_DP_SMSIG$ should no longer exist
Restart the distribution point server
In Config Manager console, re-add the Distribution Point role
Administration - Site Configuration - Servers and Site System Roles
Right click Servers and Site System Roles
Select Create Site System Server
In the Create Site System Server Wizard, click Browse. Select the computer to add the Distribution Point.
Click the drop-down and select the Site Code and click Next.
On the System Role Selection page, check the box “Distribution Point”. Click Next.
In the wizard, check the option "Install and configure IIS if required by Configuration Manager"
Select other option if desired
On the drive setting menu, accept all defaults and click next
On the PXE menu, select Enable PXE support, enable unknown computer support
Select other options if desired
Click next thru remaining menus.
Monitor distmgr.log to ensure completion.
Review IIS on the distribution point to ensure completion.
Site – Default Web Site
Verify that SMS_DP_SMSPKG$ and SMS_DP_SMSIG$ have been re-created.
The distribution point will have to perform content validation on all packages that exist. This process can take several hours (up to 24 hrs). This process can be monitored from Config Manager console by reviewing Distribution Status – Distribution Point Configuration Status
